The personal computer was influenced to a large extend by the idea of providing a tool for thinking and learning. The second part I will introduce Squeak eToys and Scratch, two current projects that stand in the tradition of the original Smalltalk project. ------- Marcus Denker is a postdoc at the PLEIAD lab, DCC/University of Chile.
